Yin L. Yin
Yin L. Yin entered the Huntsman Program in 2001, after having spent 5 years of her life in Beijing, 8 years in Germany, 2 years in Canada and the rest in Michigan. She chose German as her target language and studied abroad at Freie Universitaet in Berlin during her sophomore spring semester. While completing her three majors in International Studies, German Studies and Finance, she also took advanced Chinese courses at Penn. During her undergrad summers, she completed internships at Motorola in Beijing, an auditing firm in Germany and Citigroup in New York. In 2004, she applied and was admitted to Wharton's MBA Program, as the youngest of over 830 member of its Class of 2006. During her time at Penn, she co-founded the first Chinese collegiate a cappella group PennYo, was a member of the Penn Taekwon-Do team and served as Resident Advisor on the Huntsman Program freshman floor in Kings Court for three years.
Upon graduating from Penn with two Bachelors and an MBA, Yin joined The Boston Consulting Group's office in Berlin, the city she became so closely acquainted with during her semester abroad. Two years later, right in time for the 2008 Olympics, she transferred to BCG's Beijing office, returning to her birthplace after a two decade long trip around the globe. She has loved her work in consulting, which allows her to travel frequently and use three different languages on a daily basis! As an alumna, she continues to serve as a board member of the local Penn Club of Beijing and alumni interviewer for both Penn and Wharton's MBA Program.
