Unique among Fulbright programs worldwide, the Binational Internship program was created in 1996 to promote mutual understanding between the business communities in Mexico and U.S.
A Portuguese target in the Huntsman Program, Mark is majoring in International Studies and minoring in Latin American and Latino Studies in the College; he is also concentrating in Statistics and Business Economics and Public Policy in Wharton. On campus, Mark has served as president of 180 Degrees Consulting, performing social impact projects for both domestic and overseas clients. He has also volunteered with Mighty Writers – El Futuro, a youth tutoring center in South Philadelphia primarily serving the Mexican immigrant community. As a participant in the Fulbright-García Robles Binational Internship, Mark will be paired with a company or NGO and study international business at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. After his Fulbright experience, Mark plans to work in strategy consulting at Deloitte before pursuing a graduate degree and career in the field of international development.
