When you think back on your time at Penn and in the Huntsman Program, how did your experience as a student in the Program impact your career decisions and professional development?
My experience as a student in the Huntsman Program broadened my perspective. It provided me with a lens through which I am able to identify global opportunities and challenges, which I may not have otherwise noticed.
In what ways have you used your dual degree training and education?
I have spent the majority of my career in finance, and have invested in many companies with global businesses. It has always helped to have an understanding of international markets and business practices. Currently, I run an e-commerce apparel company, which I look forward to expanding globally.
In retrospect, what are the most significant features of your experience at Huntsman?
The Huntsman Program provided me with a sense of community within the broader community of Penn and Wharton. Through being a part of Huntsman, I felt an instant bond with like-minded classmates who I shared many courses and experiences with through my years at Penn.
Do you have any reflections on how your semester abroad influenced your academic, career, or personal development?
During my semester abroad in Barcelona, I was outside my comfort zone in a way that I had never experienced before. It compelled me to create a life for myself in another country in which I had no roots, which was an incredible learning experience. By the end of the semester I had countless local friends who gave me an understanding of the local culture in a way that I could have never acquired on my own.
